Students writing a term paper in Anglohpone Studies should note the following requirements:

• Develop your own topic proposal with a clear focus on the topic of the course in which you are writing the paper.
• Contact your lecturer and make an appointment for their office hours. There you can present your proposal and discuss the topic of your paper.
• Check your course documents to see which requirements the respective lecturers have for a term paper in their course, especially with regard to content and scope.
• Familiarise yourself with the formal requirements in our Style Guide. In the Download section of this website, you will also find the assessment criteria for term papers and a guide to formatting Microsoft Word documents in accordance with the requirements.
