12 October: 10. Town Hall Meeting
Change rarely happens in a single moment. It manifests itself in new spaces and uses, in encounters, ideas and the people who help shape a place. Photographer Caroline Hake is documenting the development of Magdeburg's Science Port with her camera, bringing to light what is easily overlooked in everyday life: a neighbourhood in transition and the many small steps along the way.
At the 10th Town Hall Meeting on 12 October 2026, the transSCAPE workshop will open the photo exhibition DOING DONE at the University Library (Building 30, Universitätsplatz 2, 39106 Magdeburg). The opening invites visitors to rediscover the Science Port through Caroline Hake’s artistic lens and to learn more about the creation and background of her work.
Afterwards, the photographic works will serve as a starting point for a collective discussion. In three discussion sessions – which participants are free to choose – project participants will provide insights into transSCAPE’s collaboration with the city, schools and the university. In this way, the Town Hall Meeting brings together images and stories, experiences and perspectives – and turns the spotlight on the people who are breathing life into the transformation of the Science Port. Anyone interested is invited to attend the Town Hall Meeting free of charge. However, registration is requested.
