INKLINGS SYMPOSIUM

2023

In 2023, the annual symposium of the Inklings Society for Literature and Aesthetics (Inklings-Gesellschaft für Literatur und Ästhetik e.V.) will take place from 29 April to 1 May at Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg. The conference, organised by Carsten Kullmann (Magdeburg) und Dr. Maria Fleischhack (Universität Leipzig) will be dedicated to the theme "Defying Death: Immortality and Rebirth in the Fantastic" on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of J.R.R. Tolkien and the 60th anniversary of the death of C.S. Lewis, two formative Inklings, as well as the 40th founding year of the Society.
